So - I've read through their app and the plotter and in a lot of ways Callum is Min-Jun's opposite. He's extroverted, outgoing, prefers the company of many friends or at least a few wherever he goes, and does not like a quiet room. Friendly, non-confrontational, annoyingly inclusive, sympathetic – you get the picture (;.
Bless his heart, Callum is sheltered, not the brightest, and is not at all well-versed in the gender spectrum even though I always pictured his younger sibling, Sophie, as non-binary. Callum would see Min-Jun as he sees his sister - a tomboy. I think if he learned the truth Callum would not understand it even with multiple explanations but accept it anyways. He'd also be bad with pronouns but never maliciously.
To be honest I think Callum is the type of person that would exhaust Min-Jun with his extroversion and positivity. I can see Min-Jun avoiding him, and their snappy nature (at least with what I've seen with Katherine) would leave him highly uncomfortable. He's also in a different house and different year, making the likelihood of friendship more difficult.
If you're down to explore sharing transgenderism with someone brotherly but …dumb, Cal is your guy.

The start of a new year at Hogwarts always brought on a myriad of complex and conflicting emotions. There was of course the tinge of relief that came with the freedom from his parents’ rules, and a touch of sadness in saying goodbye to members of his family for a few months. There was the thrill of catching up with the friends he had said goodbye to in June, along with the nervous anticipation of wondering what he would be learning about in the upcoming year. And there was the excitement of meeting all of his new Hufflepuff first years, along with the worry that he would be unable to encourage the most timid of the bunch. It was all familiar, and for that reason it was comforting. Now that it was his sixth time returning to school, the churn of emotions was a well-rehearsed dance to Callum. He knew he just had to go through the practiced motions until everything settled down. And it would in a few weeks, just as it always did with the start of a new year. There was now the matter of dealing with the only start-of-year emotion that left his stomach in knots. It was time to perform his new ritual - sending back most of the birthday presents he received from his parents. Callum lifted the collar of his navy peacoat closer to his neck to chase away the early morning chill as he traversed up the final outdoor staircase leading to the owlery. It was unseasonably crisp for a morning in the start of September, even though the rosy corals and oranges of dawn had begun streak across the sky. It almost made him wish that he had come up to the owlery a little later in the day when the sun would have had opportunity to warm the grounds and the air. But he was up at the crack of dawn before most of the student body rose for a reason. The earlier he came to the owlery, the less likely he was to be questioned by someone why he was sending owls home so soon after the start of term and why he was sending large parcels home instead of receiving them. Silently, Callum readjusted his heavy messenger bag to his opposite shoulder as he entered the owlery and scanned for one of the school’s owls not so deep in sleep. Within a few seconds Callum noticed the room’s other occupant. He watched for a few seconds as the pair interacted. The bird nuzzling against Katherine Lennox was unlike any owl he had seen before. He cocked his head to one side and grinned in spite of himself as he watched the falcon stretch its neck to meet contact with Kate’s jaw. He watched their affection blossom a few seconds further before he cleared his throat softly to mark his presence. Callum knew she had come to the Owlery this early to be alone, he had after all done the exact same thing, but he considered Katherine a friend. Ignoring her to mail off his letters after not much communication over the summer and then not saying hello at all when they were alone together would have been rude. Callum turned his attention back to his bag and he rummaged through for the thank you letters he had written last night addressed to his uncles. ”Good Morning, Katherine.” he said brightly with his usual friendly grin, skipping the part where they asked how each other about their respective summers, ”I don’t think I’ve seen a bird like that before. What species is she?” He could not know for certain but their affection spoke female to him.

Year 6 | 16/17 | Open Gender | Open House | Open Face This is a very open Want Ad for Callum's childhood best friend turned rival and 'enemy'. His app is here. I'll call the character 'Fee' for the rest of this ad. I'll also use male pronouns, but this character is not necessarily male. Both being children of professional Quidditch Players, Callum and Fee grew up on the Pitch and Public Eye together. Callum was the more easygoing kid who was content to follow along with whatever shenanigans Fee wanted to get into. Fee on the other hand had the sharper mind and led their adventures, as well as a competitive nature. Fee has also had a streak of envy that came about when Callum's father won the League Cup when they were roughly seven years old and Callum got some favorable news coverage. Fee's dad was never part of a Quidditch Team that won the British and Irish Quidditch League, and it seemed as if Callum was 'The Golden Child' instead of his equal. From that point Fee has always felt competitive against Callum, but was always a step behind. When they started flying and their parents pitted them against each other, Callum always beat him out, seemingly without trying to win. That was always infuriating, and Fee practiced his ass off to try and get ahead, never to results. They started at Hogwarts the same time and there the envy continued. Callum was more well-known from the get-go, even though Fee's dad was also a Quidditch Player. Callum eased into more friendships and was generally better liked. They both tried out for Quidditch the second year, but somehow Callum's accomplishment was more impressive. Then in their third year Callum somehow became the best underclassman chaser and became 'The Rocket', when his own hardwork never paid off? Fee began to resent Callum and broke off to find his own friends. Callum never understood what he did to upset Fee, as Fee has never told him, but it intensified into straight malice when Callum quit the sport. Fee cannot understand why Callum would quit the sport with his talent, but still offer training tips to other players. Fee took it as a shot at himself - that somehow Cal quitting was because he believed he could not become professional, meaning Cal believed Fee would not succeed either. He's been trying to get Callum to reconsider joining the team for over a year now. Their friendship now is... tense. Fee still has a lot of resentment towards Callum, and Callum can feel it but has no idea what he did. I can see this going in many possible directions including rekindling of friendship, complete breakdown of whatever friendship they have left, potentially some love-hate sexual tension, further animosity, some physical altercation, or even a good romance. I can talk about this over discord (ccthefrog#2587) or pm. hit me up.

I figured we should plot them out a little bit before I jump into Kate's open. :3.
There's the obvious - Quidditch. They would've played against each other for a few years before he quit, and they both enjoy the sport. He's the kind to have complimented specific plays Kate made directly after the game, regardless of who won. To me the positivity is irksome, but I don't think it would've come across as disingenuous because he never got into the competitive side of the sport. Up to Kate if she would've seen that as insincere. He's also always open to giving some tips when asked as long as he isn't pushed into the specifics of why he quit. Does she follow any teams specifically? He could also use her help for the medicinal magic class homework, assuming she's still studying that.
It is very important to Callum to be liked by his peers and he would have noticed a change in her demeanor over the years if they are friends. If we're going with them being friends and her pulling away the same time she started regressing into herself, Callum has noticed, is hurt, and doesn't know what he did wrong. He's too chicken-shit to do anything about it though.
Honestly, I want them to be friends and supportive without words. Knowing they're both dealing with crap they don't want to talk about but still wanting the comfort of not being entirely alone when Seb isn't around.
Did you have any specifics that you wanted to add or subtract?
I think for the thread he'll be sending back some of what he received from his parents for his birthday and come across her and Athena, and realize its the happiest he's seen her in years.

CALLUM ECKHART "THE ROCKET" | HUFFLEPUFF | 17 & SIXTH YEAR | HALFBLOOD | BISEXUAL | SINGLE | APPLICATION Callum is the eldest child born to professional Quidditch players and to a seven-generation Quidditch Dynasty where there was speculation in the Quidditch community as to which position he would eventually play before he even started walking. He grew up with his time split between the public's eye and his family home on the outskirts of Blackpool. A love of Quidditch was instilled and he naturally took to the position of chaser, the same as his parents. There was no surprise that he made the Hufflepuff team during only his second year and became a key member to their success.
When he arrived home following his second year his newly retired mother placed him on a strict training regimen that slowly sucked away all love he had for playing the sport. When he turned to school for his third year he was the best chaser among the underclassmen, even earning himself the nickname 'The Rocket' for his seeker-like agility, but his heart wasn't in the sport anymore. He finally quit the team after his fourth year season, shocking both his peers and his family. He happily took on the position of Hufflepuff Prefect the following year.
Now that he's in his sixth year, Callum is still trying to have his family understand that he has no interest in returning to Quidditch in a competitive capacity while also and trying find something more meaningful to do with his life.
Friends: Callum is a social and extroverted guy who does not need time to unwind and does not like being alone for any period of time. He surrounds himself with at least one friend, preferably a few, for most activities. Cal is a person who likes being on positive terms with everyone he meets and has at least a few friends in most years in all houses, and especially Hufflepuff. His closer friends tend to be male as well as loquacious, friendly, and inclusive. He rarely eats dinner alone after classes and is always hanging out with a friend or two to study or play a game of Gobstones while eating his mother’s baking. His hobbies include casual Quidditch, other active sports, playing board games, muggle music and movies, maybe drinking a little and dancing, and spending time with his family.
I'd like for Callum to have a few best mates he can shoot the shit with, a few budding friendships as a result of being a prefect, a couple of study buddies who won't get upset at him for asking stupid questions. I'd really like Callum to have a best friend from a similar background of his own - the child of a Quidditch Player - and have them be best friends from early childhood.
Enemies: Callum really upset the Hufflepuff Quidditch team when he quit at the end of his fourth year and I can see some lingering resentment here, even if he does offer to help the team with practices and otherwise. Otherwise I don't see much potential for true enemies. Cal doesn't hold strong opinions enough to offend, and he loathes confrontation. One potential angle is that he does not like when anyone is upset with him and tends to lie or try to change the subject when asked a difficult question. Someone savvy to his inability to face conflict head-on would be an interesting angle. There will also be people who dislike him for being the son of famous parents, or for being a prefect, or for not standing up for himself or a friend when the situation calls for it.
Loves: While he has never had a serious relationship Cal is not entirely green when it comes to romance. Most of his romantic encounters have been with his fellow upperclassmen after a few firewhiskies. Callum is bisexual but has only ever participated in heterosexual relationships. I think for this category I'm looking for more casual encounters that become awkward when the blood alcohol drops, one or two-sided crushes, maybe a passion-filled rendezvous on the pitch. I am not looking for finals, but we can plot it out anyways.
Others: Teachers - he's surprised you because he is not a twat despite having famous parents. He's friendly and engaging in your class and is among your hardest working students. He tends to stay back after class to try and understand simple concepts, but he's respectful and eager to receive higher than mediocre grades. Maybe you think his goal of being a Healer is unattainable.
Other students - in his role as prefect he tends to take the role of supportive older brother. He takes that part of role model very seriously, and he makes it known to his fellow younger Puffs that he is available to talk, no matter how busy he looks. On the flip side no one takes his authority seriously as prefect and he's incapable of handing out punishment to rulebreakers.
Established Relationships: N/A. Sadface.
